Balloon Battle has now officially entered open beta!

I've been working on this game for about four months now and am quite proud of how far its come. If you could only see the original prototype! Nothing but simple shapes in a black and white screen! Now, the game features graphics, sound, on-screen text, high scores, power-ups, and a whole lot of my free time lost in the code somewhere.

Many of my close friends have been kind enough to playtest the game throughout every stage of its development, so most of the bugs and kinks should be worked out. However, gameplay is not entirely finalized. While most people find the mechanic to be sufficiently challenging, I've had a few folks set some outrageously high scores. As such, I've been adding more bosses and increasing difficulty in the higher levels. 

The most recent addition is the fire blimp the player encounters at levels 35 and 40. This guy is tricky, but I'm quite proud of the code used to implement him. If you can get past level 40, you'll be faced with an empty cave. For this I am sorry. I promise to continue to fill out the game with individually programmed levels through 100, and then set up code that will continue to indefinitely instantiate enemies beyond that mark. In the meantime, I'm still trying to just convince myself that this game is actually fun. So please stress-test and enjoy!
